Aquilani & Sons supports "Flu水o", an immersive, interdisciplinary project awarded by the Italian Council (9th edition, 2020).
The central theme of this visionary project is water, an indispensable element for life and a substance of immense poetic. Water can be a place of death and annihilation and, at the same time, the heart of social, political and anthropological issues of urgent relevance. This duality is reflected in the very structure of Flu水o, which incorporates reenactments and reinterpretations of performances by East Asian artists of the 1960s alongside the sarcastic chamber opera Mare Nostrum by Mauricio Kagel on colonialism tragedies.
